Carolyn Zaumeyer, MSN, APRN, is a nationally recognized nurse practitioner and hormone health specialist with more than 30 years of experience in women’s health and bioidentical hormone therapy. As the Founder and Chairman of LowTE Florida in Fort Lauderdale, Carolyn is dedicated to helping men and women achieve balance, vitality, and optimal wellness through personalized, evidence-based hormone optimization.
Known for her compassionate care and depth of expertise, Carolyn takes a highly individualized approach—getting to know each patient’s unique needs before creating custom solutions that support long-term health and well-being. She has trained with many of the nation’s leading hormone experts and continues to share her knowledge through her thriving practice, speaking engagements, and published works.
A proud alumna of Florida International University, Carolyn earned her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing as well as her Nurse Practitioner Certificate from FIU in Miami. In recognition of her leadership and impact, she received the Outstanding Achievement Award from the FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences for her service to the nursing profession and dedication to women’s health.
With more than 30 years of exceptional patient care, Carolyn has authored three books and over 100 publications, and has spoken nationally and internationally at more than 100 conferences. She has served on the Advisory Board for the Duke-Johnson & Johnson Nursing Leadership Fellowship Program and as President of both the Women’s Executive Club and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has also taught at Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, and Duke University.
Patients travel from around the world to seek Carolyn’s expertise in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), vaginal rejuvenation, medical weight loss, hair restoration, and cosmetic injectables. She is a proud member of the Forever Health Practitioner Network, where she collaborated with the late Suzanne Somers, sharing a mutual passion for healthy aging and natural hormone balance.
In 2023 and 2024, Carolyn and LowTE Florida were named among the Top Hormone Therapy Providers in the U.S. by Healthcare Business Review.
Outside of her medical work, Carolyn is a passionate advocate for animal welfare—especially through her support of Save the Chimps, a sanctuary in Fort Pierce, Florida, that rescues and rehabilitates former research and entertainment chimps.
